Virginia Real Estate Pre-Licensing
& Post-Licensing Course Package 

To become a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Virginia, candidates must complete 60 hours of education and pass the state Real Estate exam. Once a candidate has earned their Real Estate license becoming a licensee, they are then required to complete an additional 30 hours of instruction within the next 365 days.

The Queen Academy of Real Estate pre-licensing program is designed for students who want a live classroom experience, whether attending in-person or virtually. During the course, participants will have the ability to interact in real-time with other students and a Virginia-certified instructor. Virtual students can see and hear both the instructor and classroom students while interacting and asking questions throughout the class. Our Pre-License course is approved by the Virginia Real Estate Board and satisfies the required 60 hours of pre-licensing education.

Participants will gain knowledge in a wide variety of real estate subject areas, including information from both a National and State standpoint:

National Information

  •         Property evaluation and market analysis, including appraisals and estimating value.
  •         Real Estate contracts and property disclosures
  •         Transfer of title process, title insurance, deeds, and tax implications.
  •         General principles of agency, including the agent’s responsibility to the various parties in a Real Estate transaction.
  •         The rules and regulations around advertising, technology, and antitrust laws.
  •         The math concepts and calculations for Real Estate transactions.
  •         Basic concepts of financing, including loan types and lending laws.
  •         Leasing and Property Management including lease agreements and landlord/tenant rights.
  •         Property Ownership, including real vs. personal property and land characteristics.
  •         Land use controls and regulations, including Government rights to land and controls.

State-Specific Information

  •         Virginia Real Estate license types, qualifications, and requirements.
  •         Virginia state laws related to escrow accounts.
  •         State requirements for property disclosures.
  •         Agency definition and relationships with an exploration into Virginia’s stance on agency duties.
  •         Virginia Fair Housing Laws and Regulations.
  •         Virginia State-specific Real Estate laws.

As part of this package, after passing the state examination, Queen Academy of Real Estate Pre-Licensing students will also receive access to the 30 hours of Post Licensing Education (PLE) required by the state to be completed within the following 365 days.
